Bitcoin Cash Network Discussions

Professional meetings. Practical topics. Productive dialogues.
For the Bitcoin Cash network.
The Bitcoin Cash Network Discussions are a public platform for developers, businesses, miners, and other stakeholders to discuss proposals and topics relevant to the Bitcoin Cash network as a whole.

All Bitcoin Cash stakeholders are invited to formalize proposals for discussion, and to participate in discussions where they themselves are a stakeholder. Viewers are encouraged to ask their questions in the chat, as they’ll be addressed at the end of each discussion!

Schedule (check back soon)

12:00 - 12:10

The Bitcoin Cash Network Discussion forum will be introduced, describing our format and introducing the topics to be discussed.

12:10 - 13:00

Removing Unconfirmed Chain Limit

Unconfirmed chains of transactions occur when a transaction is performed using inputs from an unconfirmed transaction. Earlier on in Bitcoin's history there was not a limit on how long these chains of unconfirmed transactions could be. By fixing a bottleneck in Bitcoin Cash nodes we may return to unbounded unconfirmed transaction chains.

13:00 - 13:50

Double Spend Proofs

Double Spend Proofs are a way to inform participants of attempts of double spending an unconfirmed transaction by providing cryptographic provable evidence that one UTXO entry was spent twice by the owner(s) of the funds.
The ability to get informed of such an event can assist greatly in the confident acceptance of unconfirmed transactions as payment. We expect this will help with countering undetected attempts of double spends.
